Stourbridge - Sensory play for the babies

Stourbridge - Sensory play for the babies

The Babies have taken part in a range of sensory activities today. We have encouraged them to feel a variety of different textures such as water, dry and wet sand and gooey porridge. The staff have encouraged language development, talking about how the materials feel, repeating key words and encouraging all the babies to have a go to gain confidence. The babies enjoyed feeling the various textures between their fingers and showed enjoyment in how it felt!

We looked at wet and dry materials and plan to introduce a wider range of textures for them to explore with both their hands and feet!

EYFS:
