July 17 Newsletter

Dear Parents.

It was lovely to see all the daddies that came along to our Fatherís Day stay and play event in June. We put on a mini sports day for the dads in our Pre-school 1 and 2 rooms and the children were very excited to see them all join in. There were several activities to participate in including an obstacle course, balancing games and a running race. We finished off with a small ceremony and all our winners received trophies and medals.

Thank you to all our children and parents that came along to join us for our school leavers graduation party in June. Despite the room being very hot due to the weather, the children all seemed to have a good time. They have told us they liked the star balloons but we needed to have more so everyone could take one away, they liked seeing the photos of their friends, receiving presents and eating sausages!

Reptiles Pre-School 2 committee group
At our children's Reptile meeting last month the children shared their wonderful ideas for the garden. Following on from this we have now made some changes. By removing the internal fence in the garden, we have created a lovely open space which now allows the children to access to the whole of the garden at all times.

This month we started our reptiles meeting in the garden to look at the changes we had made. The children said they really liked the new garden layout as there was more space to run around, play football and they could see the hedgehog house and fairies at the bottom of the garden. They had great fun deciding where the new wolf sign would go and eventually chose a tree next to the wooden house. The children then suggested we should have a door knocker to go on the wooden house.

The children told us the mud kitchen needed a clean as it was too dirty and we needed more pots and pans for them to make their mixtures. They would also like more water in the mud kitchen so they can make mud pies, chocolate sauce and petal perfume.

If anyone has any clean pots and pans that you are no longer use the children would really appreciate them to develop our mud kitchen.
