Dear Parents and Carers,

Birthday party
Thank you to all of our families who came and shared our 3rd birthday celebrations with us. It was lovely to see everyone having lots of fun, we hope you all had a lovely evening and enjoyed yourselves.

Pumpkin decorating competition
Thank you to everyone who joined in with our pumpkin decorating competition last month. You all got very creative at home and came up with some wonderful masterpieces! Congratulations to Lily who won the Under 2’s category and Leo who won the over 2’s. Both children won some lovely books.

Upcoming events
We have lots of exciting events happening over the next few weeks which we would love to share with you.

Children in Need
We will be raising funds for Children in Need on Wednesday 15th November where we are inviting everyone to donate a pound at front desk and come to nursery in fancy dress. For children who attend nursery on Friday 17th November, we are asking children to come to nursery dressed in their pyjamas and donate a pound.

Stay and Play art and craft sessions
Each of our rooms will be inviting families into nursery to share a Christmas themed art and craft session with their child. If you are interested in attending and want to find out more about dates and times, please speak to your child’s key person.

Toddler Room carol service – Save the date
Toddler room will be holding two Christmas carol services over the festive period and inviting families to come and sing along to some popular Christmas carols. Dates are: Tuesday 12th December and Thursday 14th December – times to be confirmed.

Preschool Nativity Play – Save the date
Preschool are busy practising for this year’s Nativity performance and can’t wait to share it with our Preschool families on:
Dates are: Wednesday 13th December and Friday 15th December – Times to be confirmed

Christmas jumper day
We are inviting all families who attend nursery on Friday 15th December to come to nursery dressed in a Christmas jumper and donate a pound for ‘Save the Children’

Christmas lunch
Our Christmas lunch with all the trimmings will be on Wednesday 20th December. We will also be having a visit from Father Christmas who will be handing out gifts to all the children. More information will be coming out shortly….. watch this space!

Christmas party and fayre
Our annual Christmas party will be held this year on Thursday 21st December. We are also going to be holding a mini fayre alongside the party. If anyone has any ideas for a stall or can donate prizes for a raffle, please let us know. We would love to hear your suggestions!

Question of the Month
It was lovely to see so many people join in with last month’s question and great to see so many families who knew who their key person is.

This month we are asking families the following question
‘Do you know what a working in Partnership meeting is?
Please help us to improve our services by putting a shell in the appropriate tub which is located in the ground floor hallway on top of the book case, thank you.

Opening and closing times
Just a little reminder about our opening and closing times, Nursery operating hours are as follows:
7.30am – 6.00pm full day
8.00am – 1.00pm Morning session
1.00pm -6.00pm Afternoon session
Please could we kindly ask that when you collect your child at the end of their session, you allow yourself enough time for a handover from staff about your child’s day at nursery before the end of the session.

30 hours funding
As we are approaching the end of the term it is now time to start thinking about renewing your code for the 30 Hours Funding. Please check the account that you set up originally to see when you need to renew your code; it will be the end of December at the very latest. If you would like to claim the 30 Hours Funding from January 2018 please check your eligibility on this website. https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/

School admissions – Admissions to reception class September 2018
If you are a Wolverhampton resident and have a child born between 1st September 2013 and 31st August 2014, then you can apply for a school place online by visiting www.wolverhampton.gov.uk/school-admissions-applications
