Dear Parents and Carers,

Staffing update
Please join us in welcoming Kim to the team. Kim will be working full time in our baby room alongside Sian and Sarah. Kim comes with a wealth of experience and is really eager to get to know all our families. Kim is a level 4 qualified Nursery Nurse and in her spare time enjoys going to the cinema, shopping with friends and spending time with her six-year-old son.

Maternity Leave
Chloe who is based in our Pre-toddler room will be commencing maternity leave on Monday 11th December. We all wish her the very best for her new arrival. Come and visit us all soon!

Toddler Room carol service
Toddler room’s Christmas carol services are now fully booked for next week. To confirm the date and times:
Tuesday 12th December and Thursday 14th December 2.30- 3.30pm
We are looking forward to sharing a festive sing along with you all.

Preschool Nativity Play
Preschool are putting the final touches to this year’s Nativity performance and can’t wait to share it with our Preschool families on Wednesday 13th December at 10.00am and Friday 15th December at 2.30pm.

Christmas jumper day
We are inviting all families who attend nursery on Friday 15th December to come to nursery dressed in a Christmas jumper and donate a pound for ‘Save the Children’

Christmas lunch
Our Christmas lunch with all the trimmings will be on Wednesday 20th December. Afterwards we will also be having a visit from Father Christmas who will be handing out gifts to all the children that afternoon. For anyone who does not attend this day, you are welcome to pre-book an appointment to see Father Christmas at front desk.

Christmas party and fayre
Our annual Christmas party will be held this year on Thursday 21st December. We are also going to be holding a mini fayre alongside the party from 5-6.30pm. Entry is £1 per person and tickets are on sale now at front desk. We have got lots of exciting things planned including:
• Farm on Wheels – they will be bringing along some animals for the children to meet
• Rhyme Time Lee will be entertaining the children with some fun games and festive dancing
• Face Painting
• Craft stall for the children to get creative
• Bottle tombola and lucky dip
• Christmas photo booth
• Cake stall
• And a special visit from Santa

Parking for the event has been kindly supplied by St Edmunds school which will open its car park for the duration of the fayre. All activities will be at an additional cost so please bring along your pennies!

30 hours funding
As we are approaching the end of the term it is now time to start thinking about renewing your code for the 30 Hours Funding. Please check the account that you set up originally to see when you need to renew your code; it will be the end of December at the very latest. If you would like to claim the 30 Hours Funding from January 2018 please check your eligibility on this website. https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/

School admissions – Admissions to reception class September 2018
If you are a Wolverhampton resident and have a child born between 1st September 2013 and 31st August 2014, then you can apply for a school place online by visiting www.wolverhampton.gov.uk/school-admissions-applications

Christmas opening times and attendance
Please be aware nursery will be closed the following days over the Christmas/ New Year period due to bank holidays
• Monday 25th December 2017
• Tuesday 26th December 2017
• Monday 1st January 2018

In order to plan for children’s time and experiences at nursery, as well as appropriate staffing over the Christmas period, we are asking parents to kindly provide us with advance notice of their child’s attendance. We have forms in the main reception area which we are asking families to complete and return to front desk.
